Dora Says Will I FInd Edward In Paris

Dear Readers,

Now that Michael and I have left Ware Hall and have waited countless months in London, asking for permission to cross the Channel, now that the war is over and the Armistice signed, will we find Edward? We are going to Paris in January for the Paris Peace Conference. WIlson will be there. Even Lawrence of Arabia is supposed to be there leading a delegation of Arabs headed by Prince Feisal, son of King Hussein, Emir of Mecca. But will Edward be there?

Certainly I must meet with Colonel Lawrence, the one who wrote me the note at the end of Edward's last letter to me. If anyone knows, surely he does --- where is my beloved? Is he alive, or is he dead? I must know.

It's as suspenseful as wondering whether we can get off the Lusitania alive.

Sincerely yours,

Dora Benley
P.S. If you want to find out what I learned in Paris, read the first volume of my memoirs, King Abdullah's Tomb.
