Dora Says That I Found A Man Hiding In Our Shed

Dear Readers,

After I received the shocking letter from Edward that he wanted to break off our engagement to protect me from saboteurs, I didn't want to talk to anyone. I walked past my mother and father as well as Viola and Frank out into the yard to be alone. I kept myself occupied planting roses. Michael came over, but I didn't want to speak to him either. I could not get thoughts of Lawrence of Arabia in his white robes of a Prince of Mecca out of my mind as I walked up and down the drive in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Very late after Michael had left and my parents had retired to bed, I went up to the shed one final time and flicked on the light. There was Ali, the saboteur from the Lusitania, the one who had made my trolley jump the tracks!

Sincerely yours,

Dora Benley
P.S. You can find out much more about saboteurs when you read the first volume of my memoirs, King Abdullah's Tomb.
