Dora Says Edward Is Very Handsome

Dear Readers,

You might imagine that Edward is very handsome. He is a redhead with a fair complexion. His shoulders are broad. His chest tapers to a perfect waist. He has long legs. I only saw him for three weeks in May of 1915, but he is hard to forget he made such a vivid impression on me.

In those days he was frequently laughing and teasing him. He seemed to be a convivial sort, even the life of the party. His eyes would light up every time he saw me. I would get lost in them.

I fear he has become more serious of late to judge by his letters. But I assume that Edward Ware is still the man of my dreams. If I had to sink on the Lusitania to meet him, it was worth it.

Sincerely yours,

Dora Benley
P.S. Read all about what I think of Edward in the first volume of my memoirs, King Abdullah's Tomb.
