Helga Asks Do You Want To Know What I Look Like?

If you want to see what I, Helga von Wessel, look like, take a peek at the photo insets on the book flaps for In The Shadow of the Sphinx. I hope you will notice that I am tough. My jaw looks like no-nonsense. I happen to be wearing a fashionable abaya, but I wear Western clothes just as well if not better. Dora might have fairer skin, but she's too skinny by half. I can't see why men like that look. I know Edward prefers his women with some flesh on them. How do I know? What a naughty question! But I remember how fast he took to me during the Great War when she was back in Pittsburgh with her Robber Baron father and couldn't interfere. My cheeks still have their baby fat. Edward liked to pinch them. If you tried to pinch Dora, you would run into her cheekbones.
Who do you think is going to win this contest over Edward --- Dora or me? She  might have more money than I do. She certainly doesn't have my brains or my looks. Maybe we will just let Edward choose.
